20 years as a Local Pastor, 18 years full-time in the Tennessee Conference. Currently appointed as Sr. Pastor to Lynnville UMC. Served as task group representative for AM's and LP's 1996-1998 then elected president of the Tennessee Fellowship of Local Pastor and Associate members from 1998-2004. Have been a member of the National Fellowship of Associate Members and Local Pastors of the United Methodist Church since 1998. Elected as first Fellowship representative for 8 years, vice president 5 years, legislative committee member 2000-2012. Presently serve as chairman of same committee. Elected along with a colleague as representatives to the 2008 and 2012 General Conference. Was asked and collectively served in 2008 as consultant to General Board of Higher Education and Ordained MInistry subcommittee responsible for Paragraph 323 changes and Constitutional Amendment change resulting in subsequent voting privileges for provisional elders and local pastors who meet the specified requirements.
